First of all: Happy New Year to all of you out there!
It's the first week of ´22 now and I managed to get back on my feet after melting together and becoming one with my couch for at least a week. A new year always is a good point to work on optimizing the things you've done in the year before. It's like a fresh start, a reboot. The motivation is high to get better at things in your life. When it comes down to the essence don't we all say:
I want to be more fulfilled in what I do! I want to be happier! Enjoy life more!
Be more successful in my job! I want to do more of what I really love!
It's in our nature. The thing is we always seem to be craving for more. And no doubt: I'm the same! But it's also important to ease our mind, give yourself time to reflect on how great you've done last year in 2021. I'm sure there are tons of things you have achieved that you can be proud of. And a ton of things you can be grateful for. It might sound weird, but I've been sitting down during the holidays with a piece of paper and wrote down all the things that I have managed to pull off...and I soon realized that I have so many more important things than money and business success:
I had people in my life that loved and supported me, I've showed empathy and courage, survived another year in the pandemic with now harm, overcame and healed from a severe accident, lived a healthy life, was aware of the feelings I wanted to generate and set daily intentions, brought joy to peoples lives, loved doing the things I did and stayed confident even in difficult situations, loved meeting and working with all of you.
...it hasn't been about the material things that mattered the most. I realized that these things have been my priority. These things are who I am. Somehow everything else fell into place and happened the way it was supposed to happen. And in a more easy way. I didn't pressure myself like I've done the years before. And I'm grateful for that. So, self-reflection and awareness seems to be some kind of superpower to people. We sometimes just forget about these things as a lot is happening in our daily lives, in the world around us.
I can just say that setting good daily intentions has put my mind at ease. BIG TIME.
And thinking about new year's resolutions: I want to be the exact same person I have been last year all over again!
What a beautiful message Eddie, Happy New Year! Let's crush 2022!!!
